Jetta acted like she hadn't heard her best friend talk and just kept going towards the checkout. She scanned it and dropped it quickly into a plastic bag. She turned to Cass, "I'm not going to talk about it right now. Just wait a second." She put a twenty into the machine, got her change and walked calmy out the door. Once they were outside Jetta turned to her friend. "I think I'm in some shit. I missed my period a couple weeks ago and I'm just not sure what's going on right now. And where do you get off asking me who the dad is? Like I'm some kind of flousy. I really don't think that's cool at all." Jetta walked over to her green chevy and unlocked the doors. "Well, get in. I want ice cream." And with that she hope the conversation was over. I really do want ice cream now though...

I'm going to write in third person as well.

Cass noticed that Jetta had entered the superstore. I wonder what Jetta is doing. As soon as the last costumer left, Cass ran after Jetta to see what was up with her. "Jetta? What are you doing holding those?! Don't tell me that... no." As Cass spoke, she just stared at Jetta. She couldn't believe what she saw in her hands. "Who's the father? You better start explaining things right now."

Jetta stumbled up to the doors of the superstore that stood before her. She turned around, looking for her friend. "Cass? Where are you?" She couldn't see where anyone was in the dark. It was a little after midnight and the two were dressed in black. To everyone else they probably looked like very awkward theives. Jetta squinted her eyes and saw a lighter bit among the shadows. "I assume that light spot is your hair, yes?" She smiled and walked up to the motion activated doors and into the flourescent lighting.
I hope that no one we know is here. If anyone sees me buying this, I will just die. Jetta walked a little apprhensively towards the pharmacy area and into the "womanly" isle. She picked up a True Blue test and ran to the self check out.

Background: I've been living on my own for less than two years. My home life was pretty average, child of divorced parents split between two homes. It was all cool, two Christmases, two birthdays, the whole deal--and then my dad met his new wife and nothing else was the same. Losing my dad to that new woman is probably what pushed me to go out on my own. Me and Cassie moved out and have been doing pretty well ever since. I've made some friends with band members and up-and-coming authors. It seems that life is going to be pretty good for us.
